About Sue

An almost-native of Fallbrook, I moved to town at the age of six. I attended Fallbrook schools from first grade through graduation from Fallbrook High. From an early age, I have loved words: from teaching my stuffed animals how to read to creating a pretend magazine on my typewriter, I was the kid who enjoyed diagramming sentences and to this day read anything I can get my hands on.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature & Writing Studies from Cal State San Marcos and a Master’s Degree in Linguistics from Fresno State.  I have cultivated my love for our language into a passion for editing and creating, as well as helping others to improve their own writing skills. I’m a tough English teacher, as my college students will affirm, but a fair one with high expectations and a willingness to help them succeed.

I’m excited to have returned home to Fallbrook to give back to the community that has meant so much to me.  To be able to provide assistance to other local business owners and individuals in the Friendly Village is definitely a dream come true!
